A quick guide for you

Your learning. Your information.

Tell Zola about your learning

You can use a nickname. Don’t share your address, phone number, passwords or other people’s private details. Check homework photos for names or personal information before sending them.

Who sees what?

Zola uses AI services to help with what you type or upload. Your grown-up can see your progress, learning summaries, reflections and safety alerts. They can also download your saved cards and learning records. They do not get a full chat transcript in their dashboard.

Helping us improve Zola

We count which topics and tools children use, whether sessions finish and when something does not work. You can also choose to tell us whether a session helped. Our improvement dashboard shows these patterns without your name, messages, photos or recordings. These activity records are removed after 90 days.

What if something worries you?

Zola may record a safety concern for the team. Concerns are reviewed before being shared with your grown-up because contacting a parent is not always safe. The team may review information needed to help keep people safe. Zola cannot promise to keep a worrying situation secret and sometimes gets things wrong. You can always stop and speak to a safe adult you trust. Nobody watches the chat all the time. Do not wait for us if you need urgent help.

What happens to my messages and photos?

They are removed from Zola’s active database when you finish a session. If you leave a session unfinished, it expires after 7 days and daily cleanup removes that content. Your progress, reflections and saved cards stay so you can return to them. Some service backups and records last longer.

You can ask for help

Your grown-up can help you correct or remove information, clear your learning history or delete your profile. You don’t have to turn on the microphone or upload a photo to use Zola.
